The best logistic solution

Earlier this year, our logistics manager Erik Mekkes joined the Economics & Logistics advisory board of the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. Erik took over the baton from our CEO René Dale, who has been a member of this advisory board since 2013.

Oldenburger|Fritom works closely with regional education institutions to keep young people with logistics ambitions in the Northern Netherlands. In this context, we participated in two great events last week.

The construction of our second distribution center according to BREEAM Outstanding is making steady progress. Where only the contours were visible at the beginning of September, our sustainable distribution center in Veendam is now really starting to take shape.

Talent needs to be nurtured. That is why Oldenburger|Fritom lends a helping hand to employees who want to realize their logistic ambitions. How do we do this? Among other things, by investing in a training course that they can follow alongside their work.

The Run Winschoten is the oldest ultramarathon in the Netherlands and celebrates its 48th edition this year. On September 13 and 14, hundreds of participants will run through the streets of the northern Dutch city of Winschoten. In addition, there will also be a running competition for young people.

This week our colleague Bennie van der Schoot celebrates his 5-year work anniversary at Oldenburger|Fritom. Bennie works for us as an international driver.
