Last week, care and welfare organization De Zijlen paid a visit to Oldenburger|Fritom to reinforce our partnership. We discussed with Eric Zwennis, chairman of the board of De Zijlen, and PR employee Bas Scholte-Aalbes why we decided to work together.
We concluded that our organizations have several similarities. For example, we both attach great value to our employees, in which we invest heavily. In addition, we both strive for innovative solutions and well-being and vitality are a high priority.
Bike Labyrinth
The latter has already led to Oldenburger|Fritom purchasing a Bike Labyrinth for De Zijlen last month. De Zijlen focuses on all people in the Dutch province of Groningen with an intellectual disability. With Bike Labyrinth, a screen that is placed in front of an exercise bike, their clients can take a virtual bicycle tour.
A symbolic gift
As a token of appreciation for the partnership, Oldenburger|Fritom received a symbolic gift from De Zijlen during the visit: the flag of the province of Groningen in the form of a welcome mat, to warmly welcome us as a partner. The mat was made by clients of De Zijlen at the Oosterheerdt daycare location in Leek. In addition, all our employees were treated to pastries by De Zijlen.
Oldenburger|Fritom very much appreciated the visit and is looking forward to a pleasant cooperation.
