At Oldenburger|Fritom health management is a core value of our strategy. Healthy staff and a safe working environment are crucial to offer you high-quality service. Our policy is aimed at enhancing our human capital which strengthens our organization. How we do this? By creating the right framework conditions and by investing in the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our employees.
To enhance workplace vitality and health, we constantly invest in an optimal working environment. In our BREAAM certified distribution centers, for instance, we realized sustainable initiatives for the wellbeing of our employees. Among other things, an advanced climate control system was installed in our BREEAM Outstanding distribution center.
In order to maintain a comfortable and healthy working environment Oldenburger|Fritom is certified according to ISO 45001, for occupational health and safety (OH&S). It helps us to systematically limit potential risks. In addition, it also helps us to manage and reduce the sickness absence rate.
Thanks to our extended health management system we have a low rate of sickness absence and high employee satisfaction. In addition to offering workplace ergonomics, we pay extensive attention to personal health and vitality. We do this, among other things, by giving workshops that create awareness about the importance of a healthy and vital lifestyle. Moreover, we offer our employees:
We also offer our employees the opportunity to achieve their health goals under professional guidance. They can go to Cijntje Personal Fit in the Dutch city of Veendam at the expense of Oldenburger|Fritom. Owner and former professional footballer Angelo Cijntje, together with his team of experts, draws up a personal plan of action.
Oldenburger|Fritom is a logistic knowledge organization, enabling our employees to grow in their career. That’s why we invest over 3 percent of our total wage bill in training and education, like our personal leadership trainings.
