Fritom Group rises to 22nd place

The Dutch Top 100 of Logistics Service Providers in 2020 was announced on the 5^th of June. The Fritom Logistic Solutions Group has risen as many as 7 places this year, from 29th to 22nd place. It was the first time that logistics service providers were also assessed on their innovation capacity. Together with sustainability, innovation accounts for thirty percent of the final index score.

The other assessment criteria are: net turnover, the total warehouse area in square meters, the number of permanent employees, the number of BREEAM-certified buildings and the participation in the Lean & Green program. The new innovation capacity criterion looked at innovation in:

• the deployment of labor
• the application of smart logistics
• digital platforms
• supply chain management

Both sustainability and innovation are high on the agenda of the Fritom Group. This year we achieved a score of 4 stars on the criteria for sustainability and 5 stars on the criteria for innovation. Oldenburger|Fritom, for example, opened a state-of-the-art distribution center in Veendam last year, with a BREEAM Outstanding score of 97.3%. This is the highest BREEAM-NL score ever achieved according to the latest and strictest assessment standard of 2014.
