Six colleagues within the Fritom Group were recently Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified. These colleagues are Pieter Booi, Jan Jacobs, Pieter de Jong, Henk Mooibroek and Albert Medendorp of Oldenburger|Fritom and Arjan de Geus of Fritom Corporate.
Operating company Oldenburger|Fritom guides the Fritom organization in the field of Lean Six Sigma. Oldenburger|Fritom applies the method in business processes and strategic objectives. Something that can only be achieved through the knowledge and skills of our colleagues. That is why they all follow a Lean Six Sigma training course, which is largely provided internally. Oldenburger|Fritom is ISO 13053-1 certified for this.
Quality, sustainability and innovation
Our Lean Six Sigma training courses meet the international standards of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The focus points are quality, sustainability and innovation, in short, the competitive advantages of Oldenburger|Fritom. The training courses have a belt certification ('belt certification' in English):
• Master Black Belt
• Black Belt
• Green Belt
• Orange Belt
• Yellow Belt
• White Belt

Black Belts
With the Black Belt certificate, our colleagues are authorized to set up and supervise larger Lean programs. They ensure that processes are improved in such a way that strategic objectives are achieved. The difference with Green Belts is, among other things, that Black Belts are more familiar with the statistical methods of Lean Six Sigma. Black Belts also guide the Green Belts.
Unlike most organizations, where Black Belts focus exclusively on the Lean method, Oldenburger|Fritom takes a different approach. We have a flat organizational structure where managers often also play an active part in the operation. As a result, members of our management team, colleagues in management supporting positions and workplace supervisors are Black Belt certified.
We would like to congratulate our colleagues on obtaining the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certificate!
