Bekaert and Oldenburger|Fritom extend their partnership

Recently, Bekaert Combustion Technology in Assen and Oldenburger|Fritom extended their partnership. This extension is the result of an intensive and professional cooperation. Especially between Mark Hofman, Global Supply Chain Manager at Bekaert, and Erik Mekkes, Logistics Manager at Oldenburger|Fritom.

In-house logistics
In 2015, Bekaert Combustion Technology in Assen entered into a sustainable partnership with Oldenburger|Fritom. In our partnership, Oldenburger|Fritom fulfills the role of innovative supply chain director. This means that we are in charge of various logistics processes in the Bekaert supply chain. We take care of road transportation, air freight, sea freight and freight management in general. In addition, we focus on warehousing and Value-Added Services (VAS) for Bekaert at our site in Veendam.

Recently, these warehousing activities have been expanded with raw materials. Oldenburger|Fritom now also looks after the in-house logistics at the Bekaert factory location in Assen. We commit ourselves to the incoming and outgoing flows of the environmentally clean burners and heat exchangers that are produced here.
