“Oldenburger|Fritom allowed me the opportunity to further my education while working. They gave me the freedom to do so at my own pace."
Melvin van Zonneveld started his internship in 2018 at our business unit Freight Forwarding. His internship was part of his vocational training Manager Transport and Logistics at Noorderpoort. After successfully completing his internship and his education, Melvin was taken on as Assistant Forwarder. He is now working as a Logistic Support | Contract Logistics employee. Not long after Melvin joined us, he combined his job with his further training in Economics and Logistics AD at NHL Stenden University. He successfully completed this training in September 2022.
Melvin: “Oldenburger|Fritom allowed me the opportunity to further my education while working. They gave me the freedom to do so at my own pace. My training was focused on implementing theory in daily business practices. Allowing me to broaden my knowledge about logistic processes in general, knowledge I can now put into practice at Oldenburger|Fritom. Here, everyone’s opinion not only counts, but is also valued as really important. Due to the flat organizational structure, lines to the board of management and general management are short. I am given plenty of room to come up with performance improvement proposals.”
