Do you want to know more about Jarige Job?
The Jarige Job foundation enables birthdays for children growing up in poverty. They do so by giving away birthday boxes containing everything needed to have a great birthday. Oldenburger|Fritom gladly contributes to this by entering into a sustainable partnership with the foundation.
Jarige Job was founded in 2010. The reason for this was the first birthday of Maas, the son of Huib Lloyd and Barbara Kathmann. Maas received an overwhelming number of presents, which made his parents wonder what this would be like in poorer families. What they never thought was that the situation in a rich country like the Netherlands was and is so dramatic.
For more than 100,000 children in our country, a birthday with presents, visitors and school treats is not a given. They cannot celebrate their birthday because there is no money at home. The Jarige Job foundation helps these children by giving them a birthday box worth 35 euro. The box contains gifts, cake mix, school treats, balloons and other products to celebrate a birthday.
Oldenburger|Fritom has entered into a sustainable partnership with the Jarige Job foundation. In this way we want to contribute to a beautiful birthday for these children. A day to really look forward to. That is why we mainly support the foundation financially. In addition, our logistics expertise can be called upon for special initiatives. For example, in 2022 we were able to contribute to an interactive fall outing of the foundation: ‘Tour de Loer’.
The festive route of this first edition of ‘Tour de Loer’ took visitors past 10 pop-up shops in the city center of Rotterdam. They could experience something unique in every shop. Huib Lloyd, the director of Jarige Job, approached us for logistics. To be precise for the transportation of the inventory of the head office in Rotterdam to the pop-up shops. A request that we were of course happy to comply with.
