More about our partnership with De Zijlen?
In 2021, Oldenburger|Fritom entered into a partnership with De Zijlen. This care and welfare organization for people with an intellectual disability has approximately 40 forms of housing in the Dutch province of Groningen.
De Zijlen was founded on July 1, 1996. This care and welfare organization wants to broaden and improve the range of care and support services available to people with intellectual disabilities. De Zijlen has approximately 40 forms of housing in the Dutch province of Groningen. Their daily activities revolve around housing, guest accommodations, daycare centers, family support, work destination and daytime activities.
In 2021, Oldenburger|Fritom entered into a partnership with De Zijlen. Although we are active in a different line of work, there are many similarities between our two organizations. For example, we both strive for social participation in the region and we focus on innovative solutions within our area of expertise. In that context, Oldenburger|Fritom donated both Bike Labyrinth and a care robot to De Zijlen.
Bike Labyrinth is a screen that is placed in front of an exercise bike to take a virtual bicycle tour. Temi robot entertains the residents, brings them into contact with each other and shows them the way. In addition, the care robot provides support to the care teams in remote care, supervision, daytime activities, process renewal, reception support and physical guidance.
